Constraints on B and Higgs Physics in Minimal Low Energy Supersymmetric Models
نویسندگان
چکیده
We study the implications of minimal flavor violating low energy supersymmetry scenarios for the search of new physics in the B and Higgs sectors at the Tevatron collider and the LHC. We show that the already stringent Tevatron bound on the decay rate Bs → μ+μ− sets strong constraints on the possibility of generating large corrections to the mass difference ∆Ms of the Bs eigenstates. We also show that the Bs → μ+μ− bound together with the constraint on the branching ratio of the rare decay b → sγ has strong implications for the search of light, non-standard Higgs bosons at hadron colliders. In doing this, we demonstrate that the former expressions derived for the analysis of the double penguin contributions in the Kaon sector need to be corrected by additional terms for a realistic analysis of these effects. We also study a specific non-minimal flavor violating scenario, where there are flavor changing gluino-squark-quark interactions, governed by the CKM matrix elements, and show that the B and Higgs physics constraints are similar to the ones in the minimal flavor violating case. Finally we show that, in scenarios like electroweak baryogenesis which have light stops and charginos, there may be enhanced effects on the B and K mixing parameters, without any significant effect on the rate of Bs → μ+μ−.

Limits on the Mass of the Lightest Susy Higgs
The minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) successfully accommodates the standard model (SM) at low energies, and is arguably the best candidate to describe physics at energies beyond 1 TeV. The MSSM also predicts the unification of the gauge couplings at a scale of MX ∼ 2× 10 GeV, a striking result that spans over many orders of magnitude. This unification can be regarde...
متن کاملSelecting Finite Unified Theories with Current Data
Finite Unified Theories (FUTs) are N = 1 supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories that can be made all-loop finite, leading to a severe reduction of the free parameters. We review the investigation of FUTs based on SU(5) in the context of low-energy phenomenology observables. Using the restrictions from the top and bottom quark masses, it is possible to discriminate between different models. Inclu...
متن کاملElectroweak Precision Physics from Low to High Energies
Electroweak precision observables (EWPO) can give valuable information about the last unknown paramter of the Standard Model (SM), the Higgs-boson mass M H . EWPO can also restrict the parameter space of new physics models (NPM) such as the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We review the respective constraints from the W boson mass, the effective leptonic mixing angle, the anomalous...
متن کاملHiggs Sector in Extensions of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model
Extensions of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with additional singlet scalar fields solve the important μ-parameter fine-tuning problem of the MSSM.We compute and compare the neutral Higgs boson mass spectra, including one-loop corrections, of the following MSSM extensions: next-tominimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM), the nearly-minimal supersymmetric standard model (n...
متن کاملA survey of phenomenological constraints on supergravity models
We advocate the study of supergravity models as well motivated few-parameter low-energy supersymmetric models. In this context we survey a broad range of phenomenological constraints and future tests, including present and nearfuture Tevatron (q̃, g̃, χ±1 , t̃1) and LEP (h, χ ± 1 ) mass limits, collider indirect tests (Γ Z , Rb,mt), rare processes (b → sγ, (g− 2)μ), proton decay, and dark matter (...
